Turn Heads This Spring Carnival

14 September, 2017

Spring is officially here, bringing with it new beginnings, sunshine, flowers and, most importantly, horse racing. The spring racing carnival is as much about fashion as it is horse racing, which is why we at InStitchu mark it in the calendar as the most important suit occasion of the year. With over 21 days of racing in both Sydney and Melbourne, there are plenty of occasions to get suited up.

As the infamous quote by Rachel Zoe says "Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak", so too should your suit reflect your personality. With so many options to choose from, from colour to pattern, why stick to drab navy for such an exciting and prestigious event? Here is why we think you shouldn't wear a navy suit to the races this spring:

"Just because you're a part of the crowd during the Spring Racing Carnival, doesn't mean you shouldn't stand out. In what will be a sea of navy punters, turn heads in an Institchu Classic Grey Double Breaster, a Bold Check Plaid Sports Jacket or a Brown Linen Blend. Comfort, originality and a custom tailored suit is a guaranteed win." - Georgia, Sydney Showroom Manager

"Spring is about the celebration of colour! We're living in a world now where individuality is praised and this includes what you wear. Navy is the new black; it is the universally accepted colour in our offices and boardrooms. Spring racing season gives you the opportunity and license to step out of the 'box' and differentiate your self from the crowd. Those wandering suit enthusiasts eyes will scrutinise 3 things: the fit, how well the colour of the fabric compliments your skin and how well your tie, pocket chief, accessories and shoes compliment the suit. Be sure to tick those boxes and most importantly, wear your suit with confidence!" - Tim, Corporate Stylist

"A person who stands out from the crowd is someone who is comfortable with who they are, has the confidence to be unique, and lets their individuality shine. Making yourself noticeable in a "sea of similarity" will only emphasize your self-assurance; presenting a poise that is sure to turn heads. Give yourself the chance to escape from your 9:00-5:00 persona as the races should be a celebration!" - Odi, Melbourne Showroom Manager
