Sweven Estate: A Night In Luxury
About an hour from Sydney sits one of Australia’s most unique and stylish luxury residences, the widely lauded Sweven Estate, nestled on the Hawkesbury River. The 141-acre estate, also the location of our latest Autumn | Winter 2021 Campaign, is a sprawling celebration of the beautiful, rugged Australian landscape.
Built in 2012 by the renowned Timothy Moon Architects, the tree-house design of the property, complete with a cathedral-style dining room, a moat and an inviting open fireplace are the epitome of an Australian-centric style of design, embracing raw natural materials that work in harmony with the natural environment.
Available for rent as an entirety, the luxury property also boasts a private chef, a comprehensive wine cellar and a sweeping infinity pool. But the design of the building itself, and the way it complements the natural environment, are the real star features.
“For our A|W 2021 Collection, we wanted a site that celebrates the Australian landscape—the warm bush, the natural light and the surrounding tree-house style property at Sweven all embody the character of our latest Campaign and the Collection. We focused on finding beauty and comfort in our new way of living and working in 2021 and wanted somewhere that really spotlights the beauty of the little moments in everyday life, now more celebrated than ever—an end of day drink by the fire, a walk in the country, a coffee on the deck and so on.” says InStitchu Co-Founder James Wakefield.
“This Collection is about rugged practicality, layering and fluidity, a form of tailoring that’s intended to be worn each day and lived in, not purely reserved for work or special occasions. Our Safari jackets, our bomber jackets, our warm overcoats, and breathable Australian Merino wool customisable suits, jackets and trousers for both men and women—they’re perfect for weddings, work (at home or in the office) and play, no matter the location or weather. The autumnal maroons and burnt orange colours mixed with wintery blues and deep greens in varying textures and patterns were perfectly at home in our shoot setting" says Co-Founder James Wakefield
Through this Collection, InStitchu continues to evolve and extend our casualwear options—a reflection of the casualisation of the workforce and new demand for both men's and women's customisable, made to measure casualwear.
Co-Founder Robin McGowan says “Casual woollen gilets, bomber jackets and Harrington jackets are central to this campaign. They’re all perfect utility garments, made from the highest quality materials, to pack on a weekend away at a destination in Australia like Sweven—warm, waterproof and very wearable, over jeans, chinos and suiting—which also makes them very versatile pieces. Thick, warm cable-knits, roll neck sweaters and casual suiting garments like Safari jackets and chinos also feature. Throw them into your overnight bag and enjoy the versatility of a quality garment this Autumn and Winter.”
